Cordelia

Hi, I’m Cordelia. I have been teaching for nearly twenty years and was Head of Teaching and Learning at a local primary school for quite a few of those.

Growing up, I was an avid horse rider and we had a small holding in Cornwall. There were a seemingly constant flow of chicks, lambs and puppies in our kitchen and I loved having such a wholesome upbringing, that was full of adventure and simple pleasures.

I am happiest when I am busy helping to facilitate learning and inspire children, young people and adults in creative ways. I enjoy thinking outside the box, learning from others and see barriers as challenges to question, research and (hopefully!) solve.

I passionately believe that wellbeing should be a central thread that is woven into any educational provision. I enjoyed being part of a research project at Bath Spa University to examine how positive psychology practices can impact teachers and pupils, and am a qualified yoga teacher. The work that Move the Mind is doing is so valuable and you can visibly see the children relax when they are riding and with the animals.

Since having my own children in 2020, I have been a Learning Support teacher at a primary and secondary school and am currently completing my qualification to become a SENCO.

I love spending time with the wonderful children, animals and horses at Move the Mind AP and feel very grateful to be part of such a special team.
